ATHENS, TX – David Dodd and the Texas Civil Rights Project announced legal action Tuesday against the Clearwater Bay Homeowners Association at Cedar Creek Lake in East Texas. Specifically, Dodd filed a request for a preliminary injunction against the association.Dodd said other homeowner used Jim Crow tactics including racial slurs. He said he bought a property and began renovations but now the place has been vandalized beyond repair.

Dodd showed a deed restriction from the Clearwater Bay Subdivision that prohibits selling property to African Americans.  Read more:
