Indiana: House passes Moseley bill expanding transparency in homeowners groups

Legislation championed by co-author State Representative Chuck Moseley, D-Portage, holding homeowners associations to higher standards of accountability was unanimously approved by members of the Indiana House of Representatives.

House Bill 1286 establishes procedures for settling disputes between residents and association board members.

“This legislation’s objective is to find a simple path to resolution when there is a dispute between the homeowners association and homeowners,” said Moseley. “It inserts language into the current law pushing homeowners associations to be more transparent and accountable to their members.”    Read more
