On Wednesday, Sept. 24, a Windsor police officer responded to a call about a woman being harassed because she was a member of a homeowners association.

Kay Tiff, 69, told the officer that two women came to her home on Sept. 24 upset about receiving eviction letters from the HOA of 1280 Lake Circle. Before Laura Jones, 34, and her 58-year-old mother Marie Gray left Tiff’s home they said “they would get her for this,” according to an incident report from the Windsor Police Department.

Later, Tiff found that that the door to her house was “covered in tomato from a tomato being thrown at it,” the report said. When the officer contacted Jones, she denied making any threats or throwing the tomato and said she understood that she shouldn’t contact HOA board members at their home in the future.    Read more
