North Carolina: HOAs fall victim to developers’ leftover costs

Many of you contact Action 9, upset with your homeowners association. But, sometimes, homeowners associations are the victims. Lakisha Allen is a parent, a full-time IT specialist, and HOA president. “A lot of work,” she said. After all, her northeast Charlotte neighborhood, Brawley Farm, has had some headaches.   Residents were paying for a pool that wasn’t open.
